About

Hi, welcome to my website. I am Jiacheng Xue(薛嘉诚), a master student at Xi’an Jiaotong University. I am in the School of Mechanical Engineering advised by Prof. Lingling Wu.My work centers on metamaterials, robot development (based on STM32 microcontrollers), and online monitoring of 3D printing.

Research Interests

  • Robotics:
    • Design and control of robotic arms and their reconfigurable, adaptive systems for versatile task environments, including manufacturing, inspection, and human-robot interaction.
  • AI-based Metamaterials Design:
    • Inverse design of mechanical metamaterials driven by artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on balancing trade-offs between multiple functional and environmental constraints.
  • AI-assisted 3D Printing:
    • Closed-loop control strategies and online monitoring systems for additive manufacturing processes, enabling defect detection and real-time process correction.

Internships

  • DJI, RoboMaster Department
    May 2024
    • Joined the RoboMaster Department, supporting robotics research and documentation.
    • Improved communication skills through interviews with different robot developers.
  • Phibotnacci ,Motor Controlling
    July 2024
    • Used Field-Oriented Control(FOC) to optimize the performance of electric motors in robotic applications.
    • Investigated integration of FOC with real-time feedback systems to enhance precision in robotic movements .

News

July 2025

  • My paper has been published in Extreme Mechanics Letters! 🎉 For more details, check out the Publications section.

June 2025

  • My paper was rejected by Materials & Design 📝❌, but the reviewers gave me some solid advice. Time to revise, improve, and try again—maybe next time it’ll be a “yes” instead of a “nope.”

May 2025

  • Scored 98/120 on the TOEFL after a lot of self-study. Reading: 29, Listening: 22, Speaking: 22, Writing: 25. Not bad for a non-native speaker! 🎉📚

February 2025

  • Submitted a research paper to Materials & Design featuring generative neural networks. Here’s hoping for a smooth review and maybe a little scientific stardom! 🤞🌟
